As interior designers, our work intrinsically affects people’s lives and our community. Spark Interiors is very involved in several community organizations in and around the Denver area, including:

The Arvada Chamber of Commerce

Through the Arvada Young Professionals group, we volunteer in our community multiple times per year. For example, we have participated in a Paint-A-Thon, volunteered for the Arvada Food Bank, and other community events. We also are active and engage with other organizations and events in the community such as Sand in the City.

2015 Behind the Scenes Award Winner

Our principal interior designer, Megan was given this award for unparalleled volunteerism in the Arvada Chamber of Commerce.

Leadership Arvada, Class of 2016

This nine-month program entailed learning about all aspects of the city of Arvada and working on a community impact project. Our class of 25 members designed, fabricated, and raised funds for a mobile cookout trailer to donate to the Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis. The cookout trailer is loaned out to non-profit organizations all over Jefferson County for individual fundraising efforts.

Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce

Leads Group President

Megan is currently serving as the president of Leads Group A in the Denver Metro Chamber, helping business owners to grow their business.

Impact Denver, Class of 2017

This six-month program introduces young professionals to Denver influencers and educates them on community issues. Class members complete a community project. Our project group helped the African Community Center tackle their retention and staffing challenges by conducting staff interviews and making recommendations to their board on ways they can increase employee retention and engagement.

Pret-A-Porter Competition

In this competition, interior design firms are challenged to design and construct a high fashion garment using materials sourced from an interior or architectural product manufacturer. Eighty percent of the garment’s materials must be composed of an industry product, so the designers have to be incredibly creative—think sleek, laminate tile skirts and chic carpet hats.

There is a huge fashion show where designers and their partner manufacturers send the remarkable outfits down the runway. It’s one of the industries greatest nights, and Spark Interiors proudly participated in 2015 and 2017.
