Meghan Johnson, Assistant Designer

Born in Denver, Meghan is happy to call Colorado home after living across the Metro Area.  What motivated her to begin her studies in interior design was the passion she uncovered she had for the field as she was looking to buy her first home.  She is now fully enrolled at Arapahoe Community College, seeking her degree.

Meghan loves that interior design offers her the ability to provide our clients with both functional and comfortable space plans.  Her favorite part of the design phases is finish selection, as she loves bringing the aesthetics to life.   She is talented at creating 3D models on the computer, and finds great value in showing clients what the space will look like before the transformation begins.

As most designers are, Meghan is extremely detail oriented and brings this trait to her work.  She loves bringing joy and happiness to people’s lives as well as having a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.  Meghan wants to leave a lasting impression as someone who is dedicated to her work and family, and is kind and respectful to others.

Sustainability is very important to Meghan, and she finds value in any way we can make our built environment more sustainable.  Habitat for Humanity is a program that Meghan admires for their service to communities around the world as well as their dedication to reuse building materials.

You will find Meghan hiking, biking, and being outdoors as much as possible in her off time.  Her goals are to travel more; and she wouldn’t trade her quiet time to reflect for anything.
Megan was born in Denver and is proud to be a Colorado native.  Growing up she always knew she would land in a creative field, as she spent her adolescent years painting, refinishing furniture, and participating in other fine arts like photography and music.  In 2007, she graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a B.F.A. in Interior Design, with an emphasis in Green Design.

In 2013, Megan decided that it was time to start Spark Interiors.  She is detail oriented, a self-proclaimed perfectionist, and just enjoys being able to do what she loves every single day; work with people who are as passionate about design and construction as she is.

She is passionate about her field and career and loves every aspect of design, from programming and schematics all the way to putting the finishing touches on a project.  Megan views each design project like a puzzle just waiting to be solved.  Her biggest goal is to have clients who are happy.  The best thing a client could say about working with Megan is that she is knowledgeable, helpful, and made their project easy for them.

Another important aspect of life for Megan is community involvement.  She is always willing to lend a hand, donate time and services, and volunteer to be a part of her local business and design communities.

When she is not working hard to grow Spark Interiors into the firm of her dreams, you can find Megan on the mountain snowboarding, hiking, or camping.  She also enjoys her yoga practice, running, walking her two miniature pinchers, or simply relaxing over a chai at the local coffee shop with loved ones.
